Furniture Design Submission Guide

We are excited to work with you to bring your designs to a wider audience. We’ve included some helpful references for you to get going with listing your designs in our catalog. Please review them before submitting your designs.

How It Works:

Quick Start Incentive to get started, for the first 100 items only (by May 31, 2020):

  1. List 2 or more pieces that are approved and live on the site: Receive $25 Per Piece.
  2. List 5 or more pieces that are approved and live on the site: Receive $30 Per Piece.
  3. List 10 or more pieces that are approved and live on the site: Receive $40 Per Piece.
  4. List 20 or more pieces that are approved and live on the site: Receive $50 Per Piece.

Once we receive your plans and/or photos, we’ll let you know if it is a good fit for Teak & Timber. Unfortunately, we can’t accept every design, but we are happy to review and give feedback. We believe great design is a conversation.

While we expect to see tried-and-true construction techniques, we cannot accept a design that is a direct copy of another designer’s work.

The guidelines listed in the Design Brief are a baseline, but we recognize that some designs might call for an exception. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! 

How to Submit Designs

When you are ready to submit, click here to submit your design materials. For each submission, we will need a few pieces of information from you. Please use a new submission form for each design you wish to submit for review. 

Requirements

  1. Quality digital plans created with SketchUp or other CAD software. (see furniture plan guidelines)
  2. Materials breakdown
  3. 8-12 good product images. (see Photography Guidelines)
